I am an artists, a painter, a creator. a teacher, I experiment, put things together, take them apart and break rules. If I like it I call it art and if I don't I still call it art, but I will change it and work with it till I am satisfied with the outcome. I believe in the process. The final result comes about by the many little subtle changes during the processes. And the joy and sense of discovery that each step gives me is what keeps me on this journey as I make my way to the completed work. Thats what I am called to do.

I am a writer and a self-taught painter and sculptor. My work is intuitive and I attempt to blend color and iconic shapes and images into a raw yet elegant tangle of common experience . Sometimes my work is fire and algebra. Sometimes it is laughter and light. Other time it is witness to where the earth meets the sky on a dark, starless night.
These paintings are mixed media on cradled birchwood panels. Sizes vary.
